The design introduces the character of Hallensteins, highlighting the presence of a kiwi institution in the marketplace with new freshness and style.

This is a fresh, stylish, "savvy" shop that delivers lifestyle with high-quality stock. The shop front and display are exceptional, with consistently good detailing.
The merchandising (posters, product, labels, price and sale modes) is excellent. The store has a distinct identity, personality and character with clever use of colour and planning .

NO NONSENSE
The design intention for the Hallensteins fitout was to create a retail environment that would attract new, particularly younger, customers tothe hallensteins brand by constructing an interior that was both "gutsy" and fashionable without being too upmarket. Materials used to convey this "no nonsense" approach included galvanised steel, clear coated raw beams and fair faced concrete, along with timber and carpet to retain an element of softness.

Very good brand integration through the entire store, including fitting rooms and fixturing. Space planning very effectively links the two entries, the ceiling and lighting strongly endorses this as does the location of the sales counter and fitting rooms. An excellent retail design solution for the market.
